Here is an example ($1.00 exacta box #1, #2,) this means in the exacta your horses can finish 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 1st and you win. When you box an exotic wager you have a better chance at winning. The price of the ticket will increase with the more horse you select. But it will give you better odds at cashing a ticket at the races. Especially useful in Exacta's, Quinella's, and Triacta's. This means finding a horse that they are very confident will win the race. Once they have found this Key horse they will proceed to bet in this manner. Let's take, for example, an exacta $1.00 exacta #1 /with #2, #3, #4. This combination means the # 1 horse must win the race, either one of the other horses # 2, #3, or #4 can finish 2nd and they get to cash their ticket. Daily Double- The meaning of the wager daily double is you must select the winner in two consecutive races. This type of wager is usually offered on the first two races and / or last two races on a race card. There are certain racetracks that offer this wager on more races. It all depends what racetrack you are wagering at. Let's say the daily double is on the 1st and 2nd races. Here is an example of a daily double wager, ($2.00 Daily Double #5 with #6) the meaning of this bet is, in the 1st race the #5 horse must win and in the 2nd race the # 6 horse must win. If you have selected the winners in both races you have just won the daily double.
