Stewart Downing: A New Signing for West Ham
In recent news West Ham have confirmed signing of Stewart Downing as 5th player of season. This Liverpool legend has also confirmed for his joining to Hammers. In a recent post on west Ham United's official web they revealed the news with these words from Stewart . They Added "I’m very stimulated. It’s a great opportunity for me being here, it’s a great association and I’m really excited to get going. I’m ready and I’m fit for the first game against Cardiff City. It’s all occurred rapidly, but I’m really excited and hoping to play a part on Saturday."
This 29 year old footballer was with club for last couple of years. Now he has signed a contract with Hammers for 4 years. Sam Allardycem will make place for him. The fee is still unclosed and most of the top channel and experts are making guess a £5m slab can be maximum. Most of the experts are looking forward for it as new mile stone in his career. Now he is sure about as a regular player which was not while he was in Liverpool. Besides all this he also lost his regular role in team and whenever he got a chance to play with team he always played at position that was needed for team' out of his regular position.
Same way last season he got a few chances and the man who was known for his striking skills has to content himself as a left back in few matches. Because it was much needed by his team mates. Inspite of these entire he was able to score 3 goals and assist 5 times his mates. West Ham United is in much need for his offense whatever he can do and for this they are getting ready to give him a regular pitch.
With joining new club he will also join his former team mate Andy Carroll who is also excited with his joining. In his tweet Andy Caroll said "Great Signing for us for the date". Downing here will get a chance to Start a fresh Career which will prove a milestone to his career without much expectations. Before Liverpool he has also played for Middlesbrough and Aston Villa where he performed extremely well.
So this season Hammers are expecting same from him as to get to some higher position which they left with 10th position in last Season. If he struggles it will also doesn't cost much to West Hammers as they are signing him in a low cost than his experience.
